HUMANITY'S LAST BREATH (SWE) hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, den bösesten, schwersten und extremsten Sound zu kreieren, den die Menschheit bisher gehört hat - ein Ziel, dass sich wahrscheinlich jede Band im Extreme-Metal-Universum auf die Fahne geschrieben hat. Doch glaubt uns, im Angesicht von "Abyssal" verfällt alles zuvor Dagewesene zu Staub, denn es tun sich wahrhaftig tiefe Abgründe auf, in die man beim Hören hineingerissen wird. "Abyssal" macht also seinem Namen alle Ehre und ist nichts für Zartbesaitete, denn der Cocktail aus Death Metal, Deathcore, Progressive Metal und Doom will nicht nur verdaut, sondern auch verstanden werden. Auf dem zweiten Album der Schweden gibt es nämlich nicht nur auf die Zwölf, es ist zudem auch noch herausfordernd, da die sich die zwölf Songs abseits genormter Strukturen bewegen.
