Was sich auf Johnnys Erfahrungen mit seinen Mitmenschen im Schattenreich bezieht, lässt sich ebenso über NIGHT DEMON sagen. Alles, was Fans an der Band lieben, ist auf „Outsider“ vorhanden. Es kommt schlicht in ungewohnter Form daher. Dadurch gelingt der Band eine Weiterentwicklung ihres Sounds im besten Sinne, nachdem sie auf den ersten beiden Alben das Heavy-Metal-Einmaleins durchgespielt hatten. „Outsider“ ist Musik für aufmerksames Hören. Wer sich die Zeit nimmt, sich mit dem Album intensiv auseinanderzusetzen, entdeckt ein vielschichtiges Werk, das nichts mit den heute oft angesagten Fast-Food-Produktionen gemein hat, die oft nur dazu dienen, der Band einen Grund zu geben, wieder auf Tour zu kommen. Das Album ist spürbar ein Herzensprojekt mit einer klaren künstlerischen Vision, die von vorne bis hinten aufgeht.
