It is regrettable that we must inform you that the tour of PLOHO will be delayed until further notice due to the congested touring periods of 2022 that have resulted in limited venue availability; there has also been a separate issue that we have been collectively attempting to overcome where the band has only been vaccinated by the Sputnik vaccine which is not widely recognised in Europe. We have made note of everyone's interest and we thank you for your patience and hard work; as soon as the band has completed their cycle of recognised vaccinations we will be in touch with you immediately.
Ploho mit Sitz in Novosibirsk, Sibirien, Russland, ist einer der prominentesten Vertreter einer "neuen Welle russischer Musik", die ihr Heimatland durch einen kalten, wehmütigen Rockstil widerspiegelt.
Mit ihren melancholischen Gitarren, minimalistischen Beats und dem trockenen russischen Gesang lässt sich Ploho von der Ästhetik und den Klängen der späten Sowjetära der 1980er Jahre inspirieren, kurz vor dem Zusammenbruch. Der düstere Rock der Band verweist auf russische Bands aus dieser Zeit, wie Kino, sowie auf Post-Punk-Größen wie Joy Division. Die Musik von Ploho ist nicht nur eine Zeitkapsel, sondern auch ein schaurig perfekter Soundtrack für unsere eigene seltsame Zeit.
Das 2013 gegründete Trio hat sich in seinem Heimatland Russland einen Namen gemacht und sich langsam eine treue Fangemeinde in Europa und im Ausland erspielt. Bis heute hat Ploho vier Alben und mehrere EPs sowie mehr als 10 Singles aufgenommen, mit denen sie mehrmals durch mehr als 40 Städte in Europa tourten. Die Band ist auf bekannten Festivals aufgetreten, darunter Боль in Russland, Kalabalik in Schweden und Platforma in Litauen.
