The Lytics sind 100% Kinder des Hip Hops. Sie verkörpern die klassische Maxime von Nice & Smooth "The old from the new – The new to the old" in perfekter Weise. So liessen sie die Gelegenheit nicht ungenutzt, mit Mike D von den Beastie Boys in New York zu recorden. Eine nicht alltägliche Erfahrung, kommt sie doch einem Ritterschlag gleich von einem der Kings of Hip Hop.
Ihr gesamter Style ist eine klare Referenz an den Sound von A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde, The Fugees oder die Souls of Mischief. Allerdings immer betrachtet durch die Brille moderner Einflüsse und gerne mit einer Prise Soul im Refrain, die im Ohr hängen bleibt. Wer guten 90s Boom Bap Sound mit Soul Einflüssen mag und keine Angst vor Melodien hat, wird hier sehr glücklich werden.
