Andorras Finest sind zurück: Fünf Jahre und eine Pandemie liegen zwischen dem Vorgänger „Aathma“ und heute, und es stellt sich die Frage, ob PERSEFONE das Momentum, das sie mit ihrer letzten Veröffentlichung zweifellos hatten, mit einer solch langen Wartezeit ein wenig in Gefahr gebracht haben. Andererseits macht das Sextett extrem anspruchsvolle Musik und knausert auch auf Albumlänge nicht mit den Minuten. Nun also steht mit "Metanoia" das neuste Album der Herren in den Startlöchern und es zeigt einmal mehr auf beeindruckende Weise die Ausnahmestellung PERSEFONEs auf. Denn wie selbstverständlich hier symphonische Elemente, technisch hochambitionierte Frickeleien, eingängige Melodien und alles andere vermischt werden, erlebt man nur selten.
